My Practice

Healing & Growth

in-person & ONLINE sessions available

At our first meeting, I’ll invite you to sketch out what brings you into therapy. You might or might not already know exactly what it is you want to work on, and our earliest conversations will bring that into sharper focus as they unfold.

Your well-being is my priority. If something in particular is giving you lots of trouble—a mood, a difficult experience, a symptom, or an unresolved question that needs insight and perspective—we will concentrate on that before broadening the scope of our efforts. When you’re ready, we can explore your life story, clarify your ambitions, and put your past into the service of your future.

I specialize in reducing anxiety, building self-knowledge and esteem, healing depression, resolving women’s issues, dissolving creative blocks, and improving relationships. Couple’s therapy is a major part of my practice. I also work effectively with kids, and with teenagers facing the developmental challenges of childhood’s end and the dawn of adult life. People of every gender and orientation are welcome, and as a citizen of the globe I identify aspirationally with the entire human family. Isolation can take many forms, and so can connection.

By reaching out to start psychotherapy, you are stepping up to a new level of self-care. That requires courage and initiative. It’s a way of taking yourself seriously, respecting your own limitations and aspirations, and prioritizing your mental health and well-being. Congratulations on this important step forward. Should you choose to work with me, I will offer gentle guidance as we come to grips with what you most want to change.
